Upset Mom

I have called several times to get a tablet, I have waited on in to to be released. I called Mongrery Ward around the 2 of May.

Had to pay 70 dollars. The lady I talked to took all my information, name, address,birthday, bank card. Told me that day that everything was ok and she would release it. I wanted two weeks and I called them back.

Then she told me I had to make another payment, that it didn't go through the bank.

Still haven't received my tablet. She should of emailed me and let me know it didn't go through.

I have a dispute and claim going on through my bank at Wells Fargo with Montgomery Wards in the amount of $564.96. I spoke to Montgomery Wards customer service representative Chloe on 04/09/2026.

Chloe said the credit department will issue me a full refund of $564.96 to my Wells Fargo checking account, and the balance of what I wanted to order in the amount of $271.97 should be applied to my credit account I have with Montgomery Wards. There is no reason I should have to pay when I have store credit. I faithfully pay each month. I usually double my payment.

I do not have the luxury of having $271.97 come out of my checking account. Please refund the rest of my monies to my checking account so my bank will be paid since Wells Fargo Bank gave me a provisional credit of $564.96.

They need to be paid the rest of their monies.

Poor customer service, and poor job skills, I was supposed to have my order updated from December 18th to December the 5th , still getting the run around

Update information. Excessive shipping. On my last order I was given a total amount that I knew I could budget ....40 to 45 dollars a month. My payment is $70 instead. This payment makes it meet.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with other. They sent me a letter.

I called many times, prior to filing my Complaint. They don't seem to have a good handle on their billing practices (I.e., sending you a "dunning" letter about your "credit reputation," when they already received a payment for that month.I doubt if I will do any more mail order business with them again.

AND BEWARE OF THE HIDDEN COSTS (i.e., late charges and shipping fees). This company is less than transparent in their business practices.

Montgomery Wards sent me a dunning letter, demanding a $49 payment (which I had already made five days prior to receiving their stupid letter). The letter said some idiotic stuff, like: "we know you value your reputation...Your credit reputation is at stake...We know that you may not be able to get a job, etc." When I spoke to a Customer Service person (who, by the way, was from The Phillipines), all she could say: "I am so sorry...I am so sorry..." over and over, like a broken record. I was, at this point, disgusted, and told them: "If this is how you treat your customers, then I am sorry that I ever entered a business relationship with you." And then I said: "I'll tell you what...If you don't send me a Letter of Apology in regards to your erroneous record-keeping, within ten days, I will file an FTC Complaint and also a Small Claims lawsuit to ask for damages re: emotional distress, exthortion attempts, etc.

It seems Ward's got the message but decided to ignore it. This seems to be typical of the way they deal with customers. Ignore any complaints and pretend things are just fine.STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.There are several other companies that will be happy to work with you if you have an issue.

I called about an order I didn't place, then found out there were two orders. The Representative I spoke to assured me that the orders were canceled.

However, since then, I found out there were several more bogus orders. You did not address the issue of a payment I did not authorize.

I have canceled my account due to your failure to address my issue. Furthermore, I will advise all I know not to do business with you because you refuse to address my problem.

I have talked to them but they refuse to address my issue. They send a letter to speak to a customer Rep.

but when I do, I get the same answer, there is nothing they can do.

My advise to everyone is avoid this company. They really don't care about their customers.

I contacted the company about some orders I didn't make. They canceled the orders.

However, I paid $50 on my account on the 12/10. They charged my bank for that and then on the 12/11 they charged another payment of $91, which I did not authorize. When I contacted them about it, they first claimed they did not have a record of either amount.

I told them it was paid by my bank, they still claimed they had no record and could not find any account in my name. This is a very poor way to conduct business.
